Partners/Funding

Partners/Sponsors:

Piece of Mind would not be possible without the generous support and input from the community organizations with whom we collaborate. We would like to thank our partners for the expertise and resources they contribute to the project:

McGill School of Physical and Occupational Therapy (SPOT)

Piece of Mind is part of a postdoctoral research project led by Naila Kuhlmann, who is mentored by Dr. Stefanie Blain-Moraes (BIAPT lab) and Dr. Aliki Thomas (KEEP lab). Both Dr. Blain-Moraes and Dr. Thomas provide valuable input in knowledge translation and the participatory research process.

Throw2Catch circus company

Throw2Catch artistic directors, Jérémie Robert and Gisle Henriet, are actively involved in the Piece of Mind project, both as directors for the performances and  as performers themselves.

Parkinson Québec

Parkinson Québec provides a crucial link to the Parkinson’s disease community within Québec. They support Piece of Mind by helping with promotion, recruitment, and dissemination throughout our project, and by providing their expertise in knowledge translation.

Parkinson Québec has also generously provided direct financial support (partner organization in Mitacs Accelerate Internship), which contributes to our research and the creation of a making-of documentary.

Alzheimer Groupe Inc

Alzheimer Groupe Inc connects us with members of the Alzheimer’s disease and dementia community in Montreal. They are helping with promotion, recruitment and dissemination throughout the project.

Convergence Initiative

Cristian Zaelzer-Perez, founder and president of Convergence, acts as a consultant for the project. He is leading art-science collaboration workshops for Piece of Mind and will contribute to a making-of documentary.
